Welcome to my website!
I am a Figure Skating Coach that services the Central Wisconsin area. I am also a student in college with a major in Elementary Education and minors in English and English as a Second Language (ESL). I created this site for several reasons: to connect with the parents of my skaters, to connect with other coaches, to share my opinions and findings, to develop myself as an educator, and to bridge together my two passions, coaching and teaching.
Personal History as a Figure Skater and Coach
I have been skating for 15 years and have been teaching for about 8 years. I became a Professional coach around three years ago. I truly love what I do and I love my students. I coach in three different clubs but am a listed coach in two others. I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to skate as well as coach.

Personal History as an Educator in the Classroom
As for my future as a teacher in classroom settings, I have observed and volunteered in several classrooms in order to gain experience. In a recent practicum, I was able to even lead lessons and help run the class. It was wonderful and I plan on helping out in that classroom as my schedule allows. I have connections with some great teachers and always love to receive helpful tips and tricks. I have teachers and professors on both sides of my family so teaching is "in my blood" so to speak. I have even had someone comment that I was "born a teacher." I feel like this is the best profession for me.
Being in the Professional Education Program has opened up knowledge and opportunities that I would never have imagined. I also have been challenged and even in the very beginning of my career, I already feel well on my way.
